Design & Build Quality
The ANARC 2 uses an aluminium build and weighs 56 grams.
It measures 49 × 42.3 × 13.9mm. The design includes a functional crown with haptic feedback and a customizable side button.
The watch comes in three colours:
- Amber Rust
- Black Onyx
- Arctic Flame
Layers also gives the watch an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. However, the company does not recommend using it for swimming, diving, hot showers or water sports.
1.85-inch AMOLED Display
The ANARC 2 features a 1.85-inch AMOLED display with a 390 × 450 resolution.
It supports a 60Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 700 nits peak brightness. Therefore, the display should remain reasonably visible in outdoor conditions.
The screen also supports interactive watch faces. Some designs respond to touch, wrist movement and crown scrolling.
200+ Interactive Watch Faces
Layers has focused heavily on personalization with the ANARC 2.
The smartwatch offers 200+ watch faces. These include animated, touch-responsive and crown-responsive designs.
The watch comes with eight built-in watch faces, including seven interactive options. Users can also store cloud, custom and AI-generated watch faces.
Layers Nexora OS
The ANARC 2 runs on Layers Nexora OS, the company’s new smartwatch operating system.
The interface focuses on customization and faster interactions. It also adds several everyday tools.
These include:
- Calculator
- Calendar
- Weather
- AQI
- SOS
- Find My Watch
- Alarms
- Timers
- Reminders
- TWS connectivity
The watch also uses haptic feedback and more than 40 animations throughout the interface.
AI Features
AI is another major addition to the ANARC 2.
Layers AI
Layers AI works as an AI assistant on the smartwatch. You can tap the feature and speak your question directly to the watch.
However, the watch needs a connected smartphone with an active internet connection to process AI requests.
Canvas AI
Canvas AI focuses on watch-face customization.
You can describe the watch face you want, and Canvas AI can generate a custom design from your prompt.
Both Layers AI and Canvas AI currently run as beta features. Layers also notes that AI-generated responses and designs can sometimes produce inaccurate or unexpected results.
GPS & Fitness Tracking
The ANARC 2 brings built-in GPS to the series.
It supports five GNSS systems along with AGPS L1-band support. Once the watch downloads AGPS data, it can track your route independently during supported outdoor workouts.
The smartwatch also offers 100+ workout modes for activities such as running, cycling and gym workouts.
You also get five heart-rate zones, workout records and detailed workout summaries through the Layers app. The watch can sync workouts with Strava as well.
Health & Wellness Tracking
The ANARC 2 includes several health and wellness features.
These include:
- Heart-rate monitoring
- SpO2 monitoring
- Sleep tracking
- Stress tracking
- Breathing exercises
- Women’s Health tracking
- Activity rings
- Weekly statistics
Layers says the upgraded heart-rate sensor can read heart rate around 30% faster than the previous generation.
However, these features provide wellness estimates rather than medical measurements. Users should not rely on the watch for medical diagnosis or treatment.
Bluetooth Calling & Audio
The ANARC 2 supports Bluetooth calling when paired with a compatible smartphone.
It also supports direct TWS connectivity. This allows compatible wireless earbuds to connect directly to the watch.
Android users can also store approximately 15–20 MP3 songs on the smartwatch. Layers allocates around 32MB of storage for music. iOS does not support direct music storage on the watch.
Battery Life
The smartwatch packs a 350mAh battery.
Layers claims:
- Up to 7 days of everyday use
- Up to 14 days in saver mode
Actual battery life will vary depending on features and usage. GPS, Always-On Display, Bluetooth calling, AI features, notifications and screen brightness can reduce battery life.
The included magnetic Pogo-pin charger uses a Type-C cable. A full charge takes up to around two hours.
Connectivity & Compatibility
The ANARC 2 uses Bluetooth Low Energy 5.2 for smartphone connectivity.
It works with:
- Android 9.0 and newer
- iOS 13.0 and newer
Some functions require the Layers app and an active Bluetooth connection. AI features also require an internet-connected smartphone.
Everyday Smart Features
Beyond fitness tracking, the ANARC 2 offers several everyday tools.
You can use it for:
- Call notifications
- Message notifications
- Camera control
- Find My Phone
- Find My Watch
- SOS
- Calculator
- Calendar
- Weather
- AQI
- Alarms
- Timers
- Reminders
The customizable side button can also provide quick access to a selected feature.

Final Verdict
The ANARC 2 brings several notable upgrades to Layers’ smartwatch lineup.
The built-in GPS adds more freedom for outdoor workouts. Meanwhile, the AMOLED display, 100+ workout modes, Bluetooth calling and seven-day battery target everyday users.
The software also gets more attention this time. Nexora OS, interactive watch faces, Layers AI and Canvas AI give the smartwatch a more personalized experience.
However, buyers should keep a few limitations in mind. The AI features require a connected phone and internet access. Music storage also works only with Android.
For Nepal, the biggest question remains the final retail price. Until Layers or an authorized local retailer announces one, the NPR 11,999–13,999 figure remains an expected price rather than an official Nepal price.
