Apple today unveiled its latest iPhone lineup, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, bringing several new features previously exclusive to the Pro models. Headlining the upgrades is the new Dynamic Island, which replaces the notch and seamlessly integrates the front-facing camera and Face ID technology.
The iPhone 15 line also marks the end of the Lightning connector’s 11-year run, with Apple finally adopting the USB-C standard for charging and syncing. This change brings the iPhone up to speed with most other smartphones and devices on the market.
Beyond the hardware changes, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus boast upgrades like a brighter display capable of 2,000 nits peak brightness. This matches the brightness of last year’s iPhone 14 Pro models for a more immersive viewing experience.
