Well, who does not find it disgusted with the rising trashes in the Kathmandu valley? Moreover, with the notorious recognition of Kathmandu valley among the list of the most polluted cities in the world, we are living amidst growing land, water and air pollution in the valley. Realizing this fact and to create an awareness on reducing the pollution, Maina Devi Foundation is organizing Kathmandu Trash Collection Race 2022 on Baisakh 10.
Maina Devi Foundation is a social organization led by a young social activist KP Khanal. He has been actively participating in various social work activities and awereness programs since a very young age.
In this race, the team aims to promote cleanliness culture in people by running a marathon and collecting trash through out that period.
Know the details about Kathmandu Trash Collection Race 2022
This race is designed under the concept of marathon where the participants will run and collect trashes seen on the road within the route of this race event. This event is being organized by Maina Devi Foundation in the collaboration with more than 10 partners.
As per the information provided by Maina Devi Foundation, the marathon is expected to have 300 participants.
About the race:

- Time: 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM
- Starting Point: Imperial Business College, Hattisar
The participants will compete in collecting more trash than others. They will form group of two people in each and run for trash collection.
Among them, top 5 participants who collect the as many trash will get up to Rs 50,000 as a reward.
Route for Kathmandu Trash Collection Race 2022
The race will begin from the premises of Imperial Business College, Hattisar. Then, the participants will run and collect trash starting from Hattisar to Gaushala. They will then reach Mid-Baneshwor, Bagbazar and then reach to the end point in Hattisar.

You can register for free to participate in Kathmandu Trash Collection Race, 2022. For that, you will need to download PayWell app on your mobile device.
