Xiaomi has brought a new budget phone “Redmi Go” Nepal. It’s the first Android Go smartphone by Xiaomi. Redmi Go was previously introduced in Philippines around two weeks ago and now today MI Nepal launched this phone officially in Nepal at a price tag of Rs. 8999. It is said that the phone will go on sale on Daraz and on some offline stores from 3rd March. Xiaomi Go is going to be Xiaomi’s first Android Go phone which is toned down version of Android 8.1 Oreo tailor-made for low-powered phones like Redmi Go. Some Google apps like Maps and YouTube have a Go version that occupies significantly less space and use fewer resources to give you a better experience with your phone.
Although I can’t call this phone as ‘innovative’, it does look like this phone will give you a happy time even at this price range. Redmi Go comes with a packing of a Snapdragon 425 processor. This is perfectly capable of processing normal tasks like calling and texting and can handle apps like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube quite well.
This processor is accompanied by 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. That’s not much but for the price, these specs are impressive and won’t be as much of a pain as other under 10K phones. What’s even more amazing in this price range is the support for 4G. That is something praiseworthy.

- Rs. 8,990 (1GB+8GB)

Display
One unusual feature of this phone may be its display. It comes with 720p IPS LCD display which doesn’t support 18:9 ratio. This may give someone positively or may give a negative output too.
Storage
This phone is of 1 GB of RAM and 8 /16 GB of storage with storage expandable with a micro SD card.
Camera
Redmi Go comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter at the front. This doesn’t sound great on the article and we don’t hope the cameras to blow us away. But, we do expect them to perform fine in good lighting conditions.
Battery
Xiaomi Redmi Go packs a 3000 mAh non- removable battery.
Conclusion
Redmi Go is one of a good budget-budget phone that comes with the packing of 1GB RAM and 8GB storage which would have been almost impossible to survive with the OS in this that has not been the go version of Android. But, I don’t expect any problems with the performance on this phone.
