Starting a business is never an easy task, and doing it at the age of 17 is even more challenging. However, for Abhinav Dev, Aditya Shah, and Sanjog Dhakal, founders of Susankya Tech Pvt. Ltd., age was not a barrier to their determination to make a difference in Nepal’s tech industry. Today, their company is a recognized name in the industry, with 30+ employees and 500+ clients in Nepal, India, and the US.

The journey of Susankya Tech Pvt. Ltd. began in 2014 when the three friends developed and launched an app called ‘Arniko Feather’ for their +2 school, Arniko Higher Secondary School, in Biratnagar. The app was a huge success, and more than 600 students used it daily to access their internal tests and terminal exam results. This experience motivated them to start their own company and contribute to Nepal’s tech industry.

Starting a company at such a young age was not easy, especially without any prior experience in running a business or a software company. However, the three friends were determined and started their first office in 2018 in Balkumari, Lalitpur. They faced many challenges, and two of them dropped out of college to focus on their company. Aditya Shah dropped out of Pulchowk Campus in 2019 while studying Bachelor in Computer Engineering, and Sanjog Dhakal dropped out of Bachelor in Software Engineering from Nepal College of Information Technology (NCIT) in the second semester. They would work 12 hours a day, even on weekends, and did not have any investment or mentors to guide them. They made many mistakes, but they never gave up. Instead, they learned from their mistakes and kept moving forward.

Despite these challenges, Susankya Tech Pvt. Ltd. continued to grow, and in 2019, they launched their product called Consultancy Manager (CMST), a work management tool and CRM platform for education agencies and consultancies. In less than three years, they grew to over 500 clients, and CMST is now being used in five countries, including India, Bangladesh, Australia, the UK, and the US. They also launched one of the first e-learning platforms in Nepal called ‘Online Vibrant’ in partnership with Vibrant MBBS Entrance Preparation, which was trending #1 in the Play Store within 24 hours of launch.

Susankya Tech

In the last five years, Susankya Tech Pvt. Ltd. has served almost 1000 clients and provided employment to more than 70 people. They have launched more than 100 apps on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Today, they have their office in Kupondole, Lalitpur, and are expanding their business to the US to grow their company even more.

Susankya Tech Pvt. Ltd.’s success story is a testament to the fact that age and experience are not always the determining factors for starting a successful business. With dedication, determination, and a strong vision, anything is possible. These young entrepreneurs have shown that it is possible to make a significant impact in Nepal’s tech industry and provide employment opportunities to many people. Their story is an inspiration for many aspiring entrepreneurs in Nepal and beyond, and they continue to inspire others with their success.
