Nepal’s first payment service provider’s summit is happening on January 10, 2023, where major industry experts, representatives from the PSPs, PSOs, and thought leaders will participate and share their experiences on a single forum.
This is going to be for the first time in Nepal. Sayapatri, a financial technology company by Swivt Technologies, will host the first-ever PSP Summit in Nepal where the participants will discuss the latest trends and developments in the payment service provider industry.
The event will feature a panel discussion with leading experts, as well as a keynote speech from Ashneer Grover, the founder of Bharat Pe.

Bharat Pe is a financial technology company that provides a platform for merchants to accept digital payments. It was founded in 2018, offering a range of payment solutions for merchants, including Point-of-sales devices and QR code-baed payments.
It also aims to help merchants by accepting digital payments in a convenient way digitally through QR codes and other methods and reducing cash dependency.

What is the condition of PSPs in Nepal?
Payment service providers (PSPs) have played a major role in shaping the digital economy. According to the Payment Systems Indicator, there are 27 non-banking PSPs licensed under Nepal Rastra Bank.
They are providing digital payment services to users through various use cases like utility payments, vendor payments, top-ups, government payments, etc. With the PSP summit happening for the first time in Nepal, Swivt Technology aims to bridge the market gap among Nepali PSPs through an interaction event and networking program.
