Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) has been awarded with the “HRM Awards for Corporate Excellence” for 2022.
Corporate Club Nepal has been organizing this award every year. And this year, NCHL has bagged this award under the Fintech category.
The award was presented to NCHL on Poush 14, 2079 (December 29, 2022) in the event.
As per the organizers, the award was given in acknowledgment of the contribution made by NCHL in facilitating electronic transactions and digital payments by establishing and operating the necessary payment infrastructures for the transformation of the digital economy.
Payment Systems under NCHL
Nepal Clearing House Limited was initially established as an entity for the purpose of cross-banking cheques and payment clearance among various banks and financial institutions. The promoters of NCHL include the banks and financial institutions in Nepal, and Nepal Rastra Bank itself.
Throughout the years, NCHL has established itself as the leading entity for cross-banking transactions, payments, government revenue collection, and bank transfers by upgrading its services time and again with the demand and need of the present users that comply with the vision of digital economy.
Catering to all the user groups ranging from retail banking customers, government, BFIs, corporates, and merchants, NCHL has been providing electronic and digital payment services through its following payment systems:
- NCHL-ECC
- NCHL- IPS
- connectIPS
- connectRTGS
- CORPORATEPAY
- National Payment Interface (NPI)
It is also the entity to fully operate the National Payment Switch, which is one of the significant projects under the Digital Nepal Framework.
Under this, it has developed payment features like NEPALPAY QR, NEPALPAY Instant, and NEPALPAY Request, under its Retail payment Switch services that support interoperable payments between mobile banking, wallets, and connectIPS.
On receiving the HRM Awards for Corporate Excellence 2022, the NCHL team states that it is committed to its work and will contribute more to the digital economy in the days to come.
