Are you interested in pursuing a degree in Information Technology? Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) and Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF) have jointly called for applications for the National ICT Scholarship-2080.
What is the National ICT Scholarship?
The National ICT Scholarship was started four years ago by the CAN Federation in collaboration with Lord Buddha Education Foundation, one of the oldest and leading IT colleges in Nepal. This scholarship program aims to promote information technology education in Nepal, especially among female and meritorious students from rural areas.
This year as well, the National ICT Scholarship program will provide full and partial scholarships to 49 students from all seven provinces of Nepal.
The scholarship program has two categories: Female Merit ICT Scholarship and ICT Merit Scholarship. Under the Female Merit ICT Scholarship category, one female student from each province will receive a full scholarship. Whereas, under the ICT Merit Scholarship category, remaining 42 students (six from each province) will receive a partial scholarship.
The total value of the scholarships is 2 crore and 82 thousand rupees (Rs. 2,00,83,000).
The scholarship recipients will be able to enroll in B.Sc.(Hons.) in Information Technology at Lord Buddha Education Foundation, which is affiliated with Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), Malaysia.
So far, 110 students have been studying under this scholarship program in the past four years.
Eligibility criteria for National ICT Scholarship
Students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent degrees from an educational institution recognized by the government of Nepal and have scored 50% or above marks, and at least 50 marks in mathematics in SEE can apply for the scholarship.
