KATHMANDU, Nepal – IME Pay, Nepal’s leading digital wallet app, has announced a new integration with ConnectIPS that will allow users to directly access their bank accounts through the IME Pay platform. This linkage aims to provide enhanced convenience and streamlined money management for Nepali consumers adopting digital payments.
The new connectivity works by leveraging the open API infrastructure of connectIPS. After entering their verified email and connectIPS login credentials, users can select their bank and link it to their IME Pay wallet.
“This integration with connectIPS and the major Nepali banks represents a major step towards centralized, digital-first financial services,” said Praveen Regmi, CEO at IME Pay. “Allowing direct bank account access takes convenience and simplicity to the next level for our digitally savvy users.”
With digital payments on the rise in Nepal, consumers are seeking streamlined tools for managing finances, whether in traditional bank accounts or new wallet apps. The IME Pay and connectIPS linkage eliminates the need to toggle between multiple apps.
As more Nepali banks and financial services move towards open API infrastructure, integrations like this will only increase. Experts say that bank-digital wallet connectivity has the potential to drastically expand the adoption of digital payments in the country.
IME Pay currently has over 150 banking partners and is looking to expand its platform features. The app recently integrated IME Pay with the government’s tax payment system, allowing easy tax deposits digitally.
With the new connectIPS integration, IME Pay aims to further its mission of providing an all-in-one digital finance super app for Nepalis. The company hopes simplified digital access to bank accounts will encourage more consumers to “go digital” in their daily money management and transactions.
