Key Features and Specs
The Vision Pro features dual 4K micro OLED displays with a combined resolution of 23 million pixels. It utilizes more than a dozen built-in cameras for tracking eye movements, hand gestures, and mapping the environment.
Other key features and specs:
- Refresh rates: 90Hz, 96Hz, 100Hz
- Video mirroring at 720p resolution
- No ultra-wideband support
- No Wi-Fi 7
- No built-in Netflix, Spotify, YouTube apps
- Virtual keyboard requires poking keys one at a time
The Vision Pro will launch in more countries before WWDC in June. It has an aluminum alloy frame with laminated glass front.
The Vision Pro has impressive display and tracking specs but lacks some key features like Wi-Fi 7 and robust app support. The virtual keyboard experience sounds clunky. While the Vision Pro promises to take augmented reality mainstream, it may not be a revolutionary first-version product. But for Apple fans eager to adopt early, the Vision Pro will likely impress in some areas while having room to grow in others. This long-awaited device promises to take augmented reality into the mainstream.
