You can pre-order the S21FE 5G starting from today, (4th January of 2022) until the 10th January of 2022. The FE is an acronym for Fan Edition. Overview
Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy S21FE 5G features a 6.4 inches FHD+ display that has a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels with a pixel density of 411 PPI. The S21FE 5G gets the same display panel i.e Dynamic AMOLED 2X display like its elder siblings S21 and S21+. Not only that, the S21FE 5G gets a super-smooth 120Hz refresh panel that supports HDR10+ content similar to its elder siblings. The S21FE 5G is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. For biometrics, the S21FE 5G gets a digital-under the display fingerprint.
The S21FE 5G houses an aluminum frame with glass at the front and plastic at the back similar to the S21. However, the S21 front glass was also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. Adding to this, it measures 155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9 mm (6.13 x 2.93 x 0.31 in) and weighs only 177 grams. Further to add, the S21FE 5G gets IP68 water and dust resistant.
Camera and Battery
The S21FE 5G is equipped with a 12MP primary shooter that has an aperture of f/1.8. and it is paired with an 8MP telephoto camera of an aperture of f/2.4 alongside a 12MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.2. The S21FE 5G share almost a similar camera setup at the back like S21 and S21+. The only subtle difference between the S21FE 5G camera setup and the S21 and S21+ is the telephoto camera. Since the S21 and S21+ get a 64MP telephoto camera with an aperture of f/2.0. Coming towards the front camera, the S21FE 5G gets a 32MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2.
Moving to the battery portion, the S21FE 5G is equipped with a Li-Ion 4500mAh non-removable battery. The S21FE 5G supports 25W of fast charging.
Chipset, Storage & Software
The S21FE 5G is available in two chipsets, one is the Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G (5 nm) whereas another one is the Exynos 2100 (5 nm). Currently, the S21FE 5G is only available in the Exynos 2100 (5 nm) variant in our region. Adding to this, the Exynos 2100 is paired with Mali-G78 MP14(GPU) which takes care of all the graphical load on the smartphone. Further to add, the S21FE 5G is equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the software front, the S21FE 5G will run on One UI 4 (based on Android 12) out of the box.
