China Makes Breakthrough in 6G Communication Technology

China has made a major breakthrough in the development of 6G communication technology, with the completion of the first real-time wireless transmission communication experiment of terahertz orbital momentum in the country.

The experiment was conducted by 25 institutes of the Second Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology of China (CASC). The team used a high-precision spiral phase plate antenna to achieve four different beam modes in the 110GHz frequency band. Through the synthesis of four modes, they completed 100Gbps wireless real-time transmission on the transmission bandwidth of 10GHz, which maximized the bandwidth utilization rate.
