Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 10s in India today. The phone does bring some changes in the existing Redmi Note 10 that places it right in between Note 10 and Note 10 Pro. So, let’s find out about the phone with full specifications and expected price in Nepal.
Overview
The design and build remains the same as Note 10. We’ll get plastic back with gradient finish on one of the color options. Talking about it, there are three color options, Onyx Black, Pebble White and Ocean Blue. The blue option has got gradient finish on it. There is Redmi branding on the bottom of back cover, whereas there is dot notch up at the front housing front camera.
Display
In terms of display, there is 6.43″ FHD+ Super AMOLED display. The display here is just 60Hz, just like Note 10. The typical brightness of the phone is 700nits, bumping all the way to 1100nits in bright environments. Despite being 60Hz, it is quality display that has bright colors and good contrast as well. In addition, there is reading mode, sunlight mode and blue light filter too. The display is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Performance
There is an upgrade in performance department though. Instead of Snapdragon 678 on Note 10, we are getting powerful and gaming focused MediaTek Helio G95 processor with HyperEngine Gaming Technology. The CPU has two very high performance Cortex-A76 based cores that lets you play high end titles like PUBG Mobile smoothly. In terms of GPU, there is Mali-G76 MC4 GPU for graphics processing.
The phone is launched in two variants, 6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB variants in India.
Camera
The camera gets decent upgrade too. We’ll get quad camera setup that now has 64MP, f/1.79 primary lens instead of 48MP on Note 10, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. We can shoot 4K @30fps from the rear camera. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie shooter.
Battery & Other Features
The battery on Note 10s is 5000mAh one, along with 33W fast charging support. It is IP53 splash/dust resistant, which is so nice of Xiaomi. The phone has dual speakers and 3.5mm headphone jack as well. It runs on Android 11 based on MIUI 12.5. There is a side mounted fingerprint scanner, along with face unlock for security.
