Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro Launched with 90Hz Displays

The Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro are all set to take the market by storm with their fascinating features which are expected to be rolled out at a highly competitive price. Both the phones are a huge spec upgrade to the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro and look to be great budget picks already. So, Let’s have a look at what these phones have to offer.

First takeaways of the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro

The Realme 6 flaunts a  6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display which is complemented by the impressive 90Hz refresh rate. There’s also a single circular hole for the selfie camera on the front display. The display seems sharp and can do fine in bright daylight as well with upto 480 nits maximum brightness.

Besides its stylish display, the Realme 6 is a power-packed device as well with upto 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. Furthermore, the MediaTek’s Helio G90T (MT6785) SoC chipset ensures a lag-free smooth use of the device. In the camera department, the Realme 6 has a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP dedicated macro camera, and a 2MP mono sensor at the back. The 16 MP selfie camera looks to be quite decent too. With all these quality specs the other concern of the user is usually the battery of the device. Realme 6 is housed with a 4,300mAh capacity battery with 30W fast charging which is fairly good for this device.

Some other features of the phone which you might want to note is the availability of the headphone jack, USB- Type C port for charging and data syncing, triple-slot SIM tray which allows you to use two SIM cards with a micro SD card at the same time. Another thing worth noting is that the fingerprint scanner is placed at the power button on the right side of the phone.

So, Why the Pro version?

The Pro version of the Realme 6 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display with the same 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Snapdragon 720G (SM7125) chip and is also the first smartphone to use it. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how it works out. The camera setup is a bit different from the standard Realme 6 version with a  64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 12MP telephoto camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Similarly, they have changed it a bit with the selfie camera as well in the Pro version with two cameras on the front; a 16 MP camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. However, the battery capacity of both the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro are the same. Both the phones run Realme UI v1.0 based on Android 10.

Thus, there are only a few upgrades here and there in the Pro version. There are no complaints though as the standard version itself looks to be splendid. Nevertheless, it is yet to be seen how well this phone will perform hands-on. For this, you’ll have to wait for our full review.
