Design & Display
The design of the phone has some flair to it with pretty distinctive look in the camera section with a large stripe holding the Poco branding and back cameras. The front camera is held at dot style notch up at the front. It comes in three color options, Poco Yellow, Power Black and Cool Blue. The weight of the phone is on fairly heavier side with 190g weight.
Talking about the display, it has 6.5″ FHD+ 90Hz display with adaptive sync enabled. It means the display can change its refresh rate among 30Hz/50Hz/60Hz/90Hz according to the content you are consuming. This is an IPS display, and not AMOLED. But, for the price, it should be fine. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front.
Camera & Performance
If we look into the differences in camera department between Poco M3 and M3 Pro, you will not find much. It has the same triple camera setup on the back with 48MP(primary), f/1.79 + 2MP (macro) and 2MP depth sensor. However, it cannot record 4K videos. For selfie, there is an 8MP, f/2.0 front facing camera.
The biggest difference between M3 and M3 Pro is in its chipset. M3 Pro has got much powerful MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor built on 7nm process. For comparison, M3 with Snapdragon 662 scores around 201K on Antutu while M3 Pro scores around 329K. So, that’s a huge difference in performance.
In terms of storage is concerned, the phone comes with 4GB/6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/128GB ROM options.
Other Features
The battery on the phone is 5000mAh with 18W fast charging support (22.5W charger in the box). It has got 3.5mm headphone jack as well. The phone runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11. The fingerprint scanner is located at the power button on the side.
