If you think budget phones from Redmi and Poco have day and night differences, think again. Poco has launched Poco M3 in Nepal under NPR. 20,000 that has almost the same specs as Redmi 9T and 9 Power. The phone comes with a new design that looks fresh. Other than design, what are the changes that can be seen on the phone? Let’s find out in this quick overview of Poco M3 with full specifications and price in Nepal.
Overview
Design & Display
As mentioned, the phone has different design compared to conventional designs seen on Redmi 9T and 9 Power. It has large black stripe running through camera module horizontally and with Poco branding. The back is made up of plastic but with texture finish that feels like some kind of leather. On the front, there is a dew drop notch to hold the selfie camera. It comes in three colors, Poco Yellow, Cool Blue and Power Black.
As for display, the phone flaunts a 6.53″ 2340 x 1080 pixels FHD+ display 60Hz display. The phone supports Widevine L1, meaning you can stream videos in HD resolution online. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 up at the front.
Camera & Performance
The phone has slightly underpowered camera configuration to be honest. It now has just triple camera setup on the back with 48MP+2MP(macro)+2MP(depth) sensor combination. The phone has ditched the ultra-wide sensor and god knows why. The front facing camera module has 8MP selfie shooter.
In terms of performance, the phone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chip-set having octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver) configuration built on an 11nm process. Adreno 610 handles the GPU part for the phone. The device comes with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB configuration. So, Poco M3 should have the same performance as compared to Redmi 9T and 9 Power.
Other Features
The battery on the phone is a massive 6000mAh one with 18W fast charging support. You will get 22.5W charger in the box though. The fingerprint scanner is located on the side power button, along with support for face unlocking. The phone has infrared sensor as well. It comes with MIUI 12 with Poco customization and Android 10 beneath.
