OnePlus TVs Launched with exciting Features and Amazing Price tag: Does OnePlus Ever Settle?

eSewa

Back in 2019, OnePlus launched its brand new television, OnePlus Q1. It didn’t get much hype because of the price. It offered premium specs but with a price tag that didn’t quite lure the customers. So in 2020, OnePlus has revealed three television sets in India, OnePlus TV Y-series(32″ and 43″) and U-series(55″). With an impressive price tag starting at 12,999 INR(NPR 20,795) for the base model, can OnePlus leave its mark as the price to performance king when it comes to the TV market? Let’s find out.

OnePlus TV

OnePlus TV 32Y1 and 43Y1 overview

The Y-series is focused for the budget segment. They provide smaller screen sizes as compared to U-series but with all the exciting features intact. The 32″ model has an HD resolution(1366 × 768 pixels) while 43″ variant has got FHD resolution(1920 × 1080 pixels). They both offer bezel-less LED technology with 93% DCI-P3 color gamut which is impressive even if we compare them with some premium competitors like Samsung. OnePlus has used gamma engine for better viewing experience with other features like noise reduction and anti-aliasing. They support Dolby-Atmos for high quality audio experience with 2x10w speakers.

Price

OnePlus has been increasing the price of its phone in recent years but it’s the opposite of TVs. OnePlus TV 32Y1 is priced at 12,999 INR.(About 20,795 NPR.), 43Y1 at 22,999 INR.(About 36,800 NPR.) and 55U1 at 49,999 INR.(About 80,000 NPR). Considering the quality and brand value of OnePlus, they will be the first choice for many customers if it makes it to Nepal (which we are skeptical about) at the current price point.
