Nokia was once the ruler of the mobile phone market, but as the technology changes, so do people. The rise of IOS and Android, and Nokia’s refusal to keep up with the trend was a downward spiral for Nokia. The partnership with Microsoft played further, not just in the dethroning of Nokia from its position but in the disappearance of Nokia from the game entirely. But since HMD began marketing smartphones and feature phones under the Nokia brand on 1 December 2016, Nokia has made a huge comeback. Like they say, “what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger”. Apart from the fact that Nokia is producing some great phones, brand trust and the nostalgia of customers alone is helping Nokia to regain its position.
Now being back in the market for a few years, Nokia has recently released an Ultra-low budget Smartphone, Nokia C1. It’s mainly focused on entry-level users.
Nokia C1: Overview
The phones features a 5.45- inches display with 480 x 960px resolution. The panel here is an IPS one which is protected by the toughened glass to protect the screen from potential scratches. On top of the display, you can see a selfie camera which is a 5MP shooter and an LED flash.
The device has a 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor and constitutes the ram of 1 GB. It comes with 16GB inbuilt storage that can be expanded by a microSD card up to 64GB. It features an average 2,500 mAh removable battery to power the low power display and it charges over Micro USB port.
The device runs on Android 9 Go Edition, which is the main focus since the Android Go version is intended towards devices with 2 GB RAM or less. Go apps will help reduce data usage and will take less storage, which is a good thing for entry-level smartphones.
As for other features of the device, FM radio, and dual SIM support. However, there is no LTE support as the max it goes is 3G. The phone supports WiFi 4 as well.

Nokia C1 Price in Nepal, Where to Buy?
The Nokia C1 is now available for purchase in Nepal through all offline outlets across the country. The phone comes with an affordable Price of NPR. 7,199 with 365 days replacement guarantee.
I’ve seen quite a lot of contrasting opinions on the phone. Well, my honest verdict would lean more towards the opinion of people defending it. The phone is really affordable and targets low budget customers in developing countries like Nepal. A part of manufacturing technology is being as ostentatious as possible and another is taking it everywhere in much affordable rate and bringing people together. And Nokia is attempting the latter. I believe that this phone doesn’t back away from the motto of the company, “Connecting People”.
