Soon after unveiling Nokia C3, Nokia has launched Nokia 2.4 with a large screen and a big battery. The company has filled up the areas that were vacant in Nokia phones in the entry-level market. With the promise of upgrading the phone to Android 11 & 12, HMD Global has got the phone right on almost every aspect for that price of under 15,000 in Nepal. The phone can attract a group of consumers seeking a big battery and ever-growing Nokia’s trust. So let’s take a look at the specifications with Nokia 2.4 price in Nepal.
Nokia 2.4 Overview
Build & Display
Nokia 2.4 is built sturdy with metal frame and polycarbonate back, meaning plastic. Yes, it’s not metal but in terms of durability and price point, it’s not that bad. After all, minor drops won’t damage your phone with plastic body aesthetically as much as metal ones. The plastic back has 3D nano texture, making the phone grippy to hold.
The display on the phone is on the larger side with a 6.5″ HD+ IPS LCD panel. It features a tear-drop style notch with Nokia branding on the bottom bezel. The phone has a modern aspect ratio of 20:9 with 270 PPI density.
Nokia 2.4 is powered by budget-friendly, low power consuming MediaTek Helio P22 processor. This is an octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU. It is based on 12nm manufacturing process, meaning efficient performance and light on battery. With PowerVR GE8320 GPU, Nokia 2.4 is crafted for lag-free experience in your day-to-day life usage. But, you cannot play games that demand high CPU and GPU usage because this is an entry-level phone that won’t interest a gamer.
The phone comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. Storage size maybe a problem for some users but you can expand it via microSD card. So, no worries here.
Camera on the phone is the same used in Nokia 2.3. The phone features a dual camera setup with 13MP, f/2.2 lens and a 2MP sensor for depth information. We get features like LED flash, HDR, panorama, portrait mode and much more features on camera application. For selfie lovers, there is a 5MP, f/2.4 camera sitting at the notch. You can shoot videos at 1080p 30FPS from the back camera.
Nokia is well known for it’s software optimizations, pure android experience and timely software updates, even in it’s lower end devices. The phone is based on Android One, meaning it comes with Android 10 out of the box with 2 years of software update guarantee and 3 years of security updates. This is the cleanest android experience you will get with no bloatware pre-installed. You can activate Google Assistant by voice or the dedicated button for the purpose.
Battery & Other Features
The phone sports a large 4500mAh battery to keep you going all day long, or more. With lower resolution display and less power consuming chip-set, you will easily get around 1 day of battery life or 2 days on low usage.
The company included a fingerprint scanner and face unlock feature, but personally I would use fingerprint unlock more as it is faster and safer option. In terms of other features, Nokia 2.4 comes with Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio and GPS as well. However, the phone doesn’t have a splash-resistant design. So, you might want to keep the device away from moisture.
