Xiaomi Nepal has been teasing the launch of Mi 11X Pro in Nepal for a couple of days now. It is the same phone launched in China as Redmi K40 Pro+, which resembles Mi 11 in some ways. However, it costs a little less than Mi 11. Apart from its flagship-level performance, what are the exciting features of Mi 11X Pro? Can it be yet another flagship at a not-so-flagship price? Let’s find out in this quick overview of the Mi 11X Pro with full specifications, expected price in Nepal, and availability.

Overview

Design & Display

To be honest, the design doesn’t look that impressive “compared” to premium design with curved edges on Mi 11. Don’t get me wrong here. The design still looks good with Gorilla Glass 5 in front and back. Talking about the back, it has gradient finish and holds large pill shaped triple camera setup that is similar to Mi 11X. On the front, there is a mid hole-punch cutout for selfie camera. The phone has 7.8mm thin design.

In terms of display, there is a downgrade from Mi 11 which has a QHD+ panel. It has a 6.67″ FHD+ HDR10+ Samsung E4 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 380Hz touch sampling rate. It has a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut that gets a very good brightness of 1300nits (peak). The panel used here gets A+ certification from DisplayMate as well. Mi 11X Pro can change the color tone of the display according to surrounding lighting as well. So, all in all, it is a good display with a good contrast ratio as well.

Camera & Performance

Let’s talk about cameras. It has triple camera setup on the back. The primary sensor is 108MP with 9-in-1 pixel binning tech to produce 12MP photos by default. Other sensor is an 8MP ultra-wide lens with 119° FOV. Another is macro sensor that has focal range of 3-7cm from subject. For selfie, there is a 20MP with f/2.45 aperture. Sadly, there is no OIS on the phone.

In terms of performance, you get the same internals as Mi 11. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G 5nm chip-set with 6th gen AI engine. It is the flagship processor used in most of the high-end android devices this year. In terms of GPU, there is Adreno 660 handling the graphics part. The device comes with 8GB of fast LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Other Features

Mi 11X Pro has 4520mAh battery with just 33W fast charging support and no 55W fast charging or 50W fast wireless charging support as in Mi 11. The device comes with dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The fingerprint sensor is side-mounted and not under-display like Mi 11. It runs on MIUI 12 with Android 11 underneath. There is no headphone jack on the device.
