Without much hype and leaks, Mi 10i 5G is launched in India. It offers surprisingly good specs for a phone so cheap. In fact, it is the cheapest phone with a 108MP camera and a 120Hz display. If you recall a few months back, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G was launched in China with similar specs. So, it is safe to say that it’s a rebranded version of Note 9 Pro 5G. This is the first phone from the company launched in 2021. In spite of the launch of Mi 11 a few days back, the company renewed their 10 lineups with Mi 10i 5G. So, let’s take a quick look at the phone with it’s expected price in Nepal.
Mi 10i 5G Overview
Design & Display
The design is pretty similar to what we’ve seen on the 10T lineup. With Corning Gorilla Glass 5 covering the front and the back, Mi 10i provides you premium build quality like it’s premium brothers. It comes in three color options, Pacific Sunrise, Midnight Black, Atlantic Blue.
The USP of Mi 10i 5G is its impressive display. It is 6.67″ FHD+ 120Hz IPS LCD display with HDR10 support. This is an adaptive display with a refresh rate varying from 30-120Hz. They are quite rare features in the phone of this price segment, especially HDR10 support. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 covers the display, which makes it a tough device. You can even lower the brightness to as low as 1 nits, which is very impressive.
The performance on the device is top notch. It has got latest mid-range 5G processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G. It’s power-efficient 8nm build keeps the device cool under heavy loads, without compromising speed. The phone has Adreno 619 GPU for graphics processing. It can run most of the high end games at medium to high settings. There is ample 6GB/8GB RAM options with 64GB/128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, which is significantly faster than UFS 2.1 storage. It has hybrid sim slot for sim and memory card.
As said earlier, the phone is cheapest one to have 108MP camera. There is quad camera setup on the back with 108MP(Samsung ISOCELL HM2)+8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP(macro) + 2MP(depth) sensors combination. You can even shoot 4K at 30fps on the phone. For selfie, there is 16MP shooter situated at dot-notch cutout at the front. So, in terms of camera quality, it has definitely got real potential.
To power the phone for all day, there is 4820mAh battery. You can charge the phone via 33W Type-C “charger provided in the box”. The fingerprint scanner is situated at the power button. The phone is claimed to have better vibration motor to improve haptic feedback.
