Huawei Y9s is another mid-ranged phone from Huawei. The Huawei Y9s price in Nepal is around Rs. 32,900. This phone has a premium look and feels to it. It has an outstanding battery that lasts all day and is appropriate for your normal daily use.

Design:

Huawei Y9s has a 6.59-inch screen size and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The phone has a Full HD display. Due to its big-screen size reaching the edges of the screen can be difficult while using it with one hand. It has a 91% screen to body ratio. This phone feels superior because of its glass back and the aluminum sides. In addition to the superior look, the aluminum ridges also help for a good grip. This phone is no exception when it comes to the thin bezel and a notch-free design which is the trend right now. It comes in 2 colors: Midnight Black and Breathing Crystal. The Breathing Crystal has a beautiful violet-blue gradient. This phone looks stunning.

It has a triple rear camera setup and a pop-up selfie camera.

It is available in the 6GB+128 GB variant. The internal storage can be further expanded up to 512GB. Both the power button and the volume button is on the right. The power button functions as a fingerprint sensor as well. So, you have a stunning, smooth, fingerprint sensor free back. It still has the 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C connector. It does not support a dedicated memory card slot. It comes with a hybrid slot which means you can insert either two SIM card or a SIM and a memory card.

Performance:

The Huawei Y9s is powered by Kirin 710F and Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. It runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with Huawei’s EMUI 9.1. It comes with the Octa-core (4×2.2 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) processor. It isn’t the fastest but it is up to par.

Huawei Y9s isn’t a gamer’s delight. It isn’t a heavy gaming device but can run medium graphic games easily. It can run PUBG and Fortnite.

Camera:

It has a triple rear camera setup and a pop-up selfie camera. There is a primary 48-megapixel camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The picture quality is decent as it captures vibrant, clear and detail-packed photos. Also, the wide-angle lens is amazing and the camera performs well in low light. It also supports the night mode. The upgraded AI Beauty Algorithm helps in taking better portraits and bringing clarity in images. It comes with a 6x zoom.

The camera features are Autofocus, continuous shooting, Digital Zoom, Panorama, HDR, Touch to Focus, Face Detection, White balance settings, ISO setting, Self-timer, Geotagging.

Talking about the videos, it records up to 1080p with the primary, wide and selfie sensor. It works well in proper lighting conditions but in low light, the wide sensor has noise. The selfies are bright.

Screen:

It has a 6.59-inch screen size and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It doesn’t have a notch and has thin bezels. It has an LCD screen, which might not be preferable as almost every phone now has an OLED or AMOLED panel to suit the need for a crisp, brighter display. It has a resolution of 1080*2340 pixels. So, the screen isn’t bad but the OLED panel would be better.

Battery:

It is powered by 4000 mAh battery which comes with a 10-watt charger. It takes a long time to drain and the charging isn’t very fast. If you are careful with the usage then the battery can last up to a full day or two.

Price and Availability:

The Huawei Y9s price in Nepal is Rs. 32,900 for the 6/128 GB variant.

Conclusion:

So, if you are looking for a bigger screen, more storage, and a phone to help you with your daily activities then you can consider this device. The performance is average and it isn’t for heavy gamers but this phone has many features to offer.
