One after another, Samsung is launching smartphones that are impressive for certain segments. Yesterday, Samsung unveiled Galaxy F22 in Nepal with exciting specs for a phone of just over Rs. 20,000 range. In fact, it is the first phone to bring 90Hz sAMOLED display below NPR. 21,000 in Nepal. Other than that, it has got massive battery to keep you connected all day. Let’s find out more about the phone with full specifications, price in Nepal and availability.
Galaxy F22 Overview
Design & Display
The back is made up of plastic along with the side frame. The phone comes in three colors, Denim Blue, Denim Black and Denim White. All of them have textured finish which resembles denims. The blue color looks faded and not so nice, maybe it looks better on denims only. At the front, there is a U-style notch to hold selfie camera.
Talking about the display, it is the cheapest phone in Nepal to provide 90Hz sAMOLED display till now. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protecting the front. But, that’s where the fun ends. The display has resolution of just HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels). Samsung is the leading manufacturer of smartphone displays and it even makes screens of its biggest competitor, iPhones. So, they could have just thrown in a FHD display and would have been the best overall smartphone of 2021 in the price segment in Nepal.
Camera & Performance
In terms of camera, it offers quad camera setup on the square housing at the back. The primary lens is of 48MP, f/2.0 aperture. Other lenses are 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie shooter as well. So, the hardware is on par with most of the phones available at this price range.
If we talk about the performance of the phone, it is almost same as other smartphones in this price segment. It has got MediaTek Helio G80 chip-set running at 2GHz. It is built on 12nm process, not great, not bad. At this price point, most of other smartphones offer same chip-set. So, no complaints here.
For RAM/ROM option, we get 4GB/6GB RAM option along with 64GB/128GB ROM variant.

Other Features
The phone has got a massive 6000mAh battery, largest you will get at this segment. But the downside is with just 15W charger, the charging time should be significantly high. Galaxy F22 comes with Android 11 and OneUI 3 on top. The fingerprint scanner is situated at the power button on the side.
