We all know the great number of Poco F1 units sold via the Daraz Exclusive offer. And now Ola Electronics, a registered store on Daraz has taken the sole distribution responsibility for a flagship-level gaming smartphone from Xiaomi’s gaming sub-brand. Black Shark 3 has been launched exclusively on Daraz as part of its Dashain Dhamaka offer. The distributor has promised to launch accessories for the phone along with better availability and after-purchase service. Let us take a quick look at its specs and price.
Black Shark 3 Overview
It has a 6.67-inch HDR 10+ AMOLED display with FHD + resolution. Even though the refresh rate is slightly less at 90Hz, the insane 270Hz touch sampling rate highly reduces the touch latency to around 25ms. So the display is obviously great for gaming.
To fulfill that gaming thirst, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset coupled with 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB UFS 3.0 storage. To cool this much power, we have got double heat pipes exhaustion. The 3.5 mm audio jack is still present saving you money as even a cheap wired headset will have better latency than the most expensive wireless headsets. The front-facing stereo speakers won’t get troubled by your gaming grip as well.
When you have a gaming phone you are sure to exhaust your battery quickly. The 65W charger provided will easily juice up the phone’s 4720 mAh battery from 0 to 100% in just 38 minutes as claimed by the company. If you hate the tangling charging cable while gaming, there is also the option to clip an 18W magnetic charger at the phone’s back.
Being a gaming centered phone, I don’t expect a flagship camera performance but the specs aren’t that bad. It comes with a 64MP f/1.8 main sensor, a 13 MP ultrawide, and a 5MP depth sensor on the rear while the selfie shooter is of 20MP.
Other features of the phone include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and 5G compatibility. The fingerprint sensor is optical in-display.
Black Shark Gamepad 3, a press-in joystick with a 6-axis sensor and customizable buttons is sold separately for NPR. 9,490. Though you get a protective case in the box, the fun case (back cover) is available for Rs.700.
